A brief summary of activities of Central Library, ADP College.

 

        The Central library which is the heart of the college was established in 1959. It is well equipped library, centrally located with open access system and does provide right impetus for the intellectual growth of the students, teachers, research scholars and other around. The library is in a three storied building with 700 sq.mt. floor area.

            The library has a collection of 24461 (textbooks) and 24992 (Reference and other books).The library has some special collection of books on Gandhian thoughts, Vivekananda studies, Ambedkar studies, Human rights, Women studies, Tribal studies, Sankardeva studies, Publication by faculty members, College publication, award winning books etc. Apart from these special collections the library has a good collection of encyclopedias, dictionaries, books on competitive examinations and a good collection of manuscripts and rare books.

            The library is fully automated with Integrated Library management system named SOUL 2.0. SOUL 2.0 is installed for automating inhouse activities and services of the library along with barcode facility. The Online Public Access catalogue (OPAC) is made available for library users to know the status of availability of books and documents in the library. The library uses Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system for classification of books.

            The library has set up an Institutional Repository ( http//: 192.168.0.100) in 2018 by using D-Space digital library software where college publications, question paper of previous years, rare books and reports are kept in digitized form. The repository can be accessible over library LAN and library wifi.

            The entire library complex in wifi enabled. Students can use internet facility in the digital library. The all computer systems are equipped with power back facility available through online UPS system(5 KVA). The library is an active member of INFLIBNET centre and NLIST consortia. The library offers various services to its users like automated circulation of books, Online public access catalogue(OPAC), Reprography, library orientation, book bank facility for poor and differently able students. C.C. cameras are installed inside the library for strict surveillance.                                                                                               

             The Central Library, ADP College has an Advisory Committee consisting of teachers from different streams. The composition of the library committee is:

·        Principal: Chairperson

·        Librarian: Member Secretary

·        Three members from Science faculty

·        Three members from Arts faculty.

 

The following are a few significant initiatives of Library Advisory Committee:

a)     SOUL software(version 1.0) was installed in 2008

b)     SOUL software (version 2.0) was installed in 2013.

c)     Using Barcode technology in circulation of books with the initiative of library Advisory committee.

d)     Library committee offered suggestions to develop a Digital library cum repository for the college. Accordingly The library has set up an Institutional Repository ( http//:192.168.0.100) in 2018 by using D-Space digital library software where college publications, question paper of previous years, rare books and reports are kept in digitized form. The repository can be accessible over library LAN and library wi-fi.

e)     On recommendation of library committee central library has initiated collection of  rare manuscripts for the library and preserved it scientifically.

f)      Library committee offered suggestions to the authority to 2^nd floor of the library building to increase the book stocking area. Accordingly a new reading room has been built where a good collection of books on various competitive examinations are kept.

g)     Central Library organized a organized a workshop on Use of ICT in Library Services and its impact on user communities in association with department of Mathematics and Statistics on 28.11.2019.

h)     Central library successfully organized an webinar on awareness programme on  “Use of online E resources” on 23.6.2020.

i)       On the suggestions of library committee, central library provides library facilities to the retired faculty members and research scholars from other universities.

 গুৰুত্বপূর্ণ নির্দেশিকা

 

1. পৰীক্ষার্থী সকলে নিজৰ স্মার্টফোন্ অথবা কম্পিউটাৰতউপযুক্ত এপচ (apps) ব্যৱহাৰ কৰাটো অনিবার্য্য। এই বিষয়ে আমাৰ নির্দেশিকা ইয়াত চাব পাৰে৷   
2. এইটো অতি গুৰুত্বপূর্ণ যে, পৰীক্ষার্থী সকলে যেন নিজৰ উত্তৰ বহীৰ ফটোগ্রাফ লৈ তাক আকৌ স্কেন নকৰে। এনে কৰিলে ফাইলৰ আকাৰ নিৰ্ধাৰিত কৰি দিয়া 5.0 MB তকৈ বহু বেছি হ'ব পাৰে৷ ইয়াৰ বিপৰীতে পৰীক্ষার্থী সকলে উত্তৰ লিখা পৃষ্ঠাবােৰক পােনপটীয়াকৈ এপ যােগে স্কে কৰা উচিত৷ 
3.  স্কেন্ কৰোঁতে সদায়েই পৃষ্ঠাখন ক'লা-বগা (Black & White) কৈ স্কেন কৰা উচিত, কাৰণ ৰঙীন স্কেন ৰ আকাৰ নিশ্চয়কৈ বেছি হয়।      

 

পৰীক্ষা প্রক্রিয়া, এই OTBE ৰ সন্দৰ্ভত, এজন পৰীক্ষার্থীয়ে মানিব লগীয়া নিয়মখিনি তলত দিয়া হৈছে। এই প্রক্রিয়াত প্রয়ােজন হােৱা ওৱে চাইট তৰ বিস্তৃত বিবৰণ আৰু অনান্য তথ্য যথাসময়ত প্ৰকাশ কৰা হ'ব। OTB পৰীক্ষা অনুস্থিত হােৱাৰ আগতে  

1. সকলাে ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীয়ে নিজৰ নিজৰ মােবাইল নাম্বাৰ, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ৰ IUMS ব্যৱস্থা প্রণালীৰ জৰীয়তে অন্তর্ভুক্ত কৰিব লাগিব।  
2.  ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰী সকলে, অনুশীলনৰ কাৰণে মুকলি কৰি দিয়া ওৱে চাইট ত ভাগলােৱাটো বাঞ্ছনীয়।

 

OT OTBE-2021 ৰ লক্ষ্যনীয় দিশসমূহ,

 

1. এই OTB পৰীক্ষা অনলাইন্ মাধ্যমেৰে হ'ব।  
2. এই পৰীক্ষাৰ সন্দৰ্ভত সর্বসাধাৰণতে হােৱাৰ নিচিনাকৈ কোনাে ধৰণৰ কায়িক (physical or offline) কীৰ্য্যাৱলী নাথাকিব। প্রশ্নকাকত ডাউনলােড় কৰাৰ পৰা পৰীক্ষাবহী আপলােড় কৰালৈকে পৰীক্ষাৰ সকলাে প্রক্রিয়া মাত্র অনলাইন্ মাধ্যমতে হ'ব। 
3. সকলাে পৰীক্ষা প্রার্থীয়ে, লাগতীয় সকলাে সা-সর্জুলি যেনে কম্পিউটাৰ, স্মার্ট ফো ইত্যাদি নিজেই নিজৰ কাৰণে আগতীয়াকৈ যােগাৰ কৰি ল'ব কাগিব। সকলাে প্রার্থীয়ে, ইন্টাৰনেট ডাটা পেক আৰু যাৱতীয় ইন্টাৰনেট সংযােগৰ কাৰণে লগী সুবিধাসমূহ নিজে নিজে যােগাৰ কৰিব লাগিব যাতে, এই অনলাইন্ OTB পৰীক্ষাত, তেওঁলােকে কোনােধৰণৰ অসুবিঘাৰ সন্মুখীন। নােহােৱাকৈ সুকলমে অৱতীৰ্ণ হ'ব পাৰে। এইটো অতি গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ আৰু মন কৰিবলগীয়া কথা যে, গুৱাহাটী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে, এই সন্দৰ্ভত কোনাে ধৰণৰ অভিযােগ গ্রহণ নকৰিব। 
4. বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে, এই গােটেই প্রক্রিয়াটোক ছাত্র-ছাত্রীৰ । মাজত, আগতীয়াকৈ অনুশীলনৰ কাৰণে মুকলি কৰি দিব। প্রশ্নকাকত ডাউনলােড় প্ৰতিটো OTB পৰীক্ষাৰ কাৰণে, প্রশ্নকাকতখন, পৰীক্ষা আৰম্ভ হােৱাৰ 30 মিনিট আগতে ডাউনলােড়ৰ কাৰণে উপলব্ধ হ'ব৷ 

    

    

    উত্তৰ বহী আপলােড় 

   1. পৰীক্ষার্থী সকলে পৰীক্ষা আৰম্ভ হােৱাৰ 30 মিনিটৰ পাছৰ পৰা পৰীক্ষা শেষহােৱাৰ এঘন্টা পাছলৈকে, উত্তৰ বহী আপলােড় কৰিব পাৰিব৷  
    

উদাহৰণস্বৰূপে, যদি পৰীক্ষাৰ সময়সীমা 09:00 বজাৰ পৰা 12:00 বজালৈকে হয়, তেন্তে প্রশ্নকাকতখন08:00 বজাত ডাউনলােডৰ কাৰণে উপলব্ধ হ'ব৷ আৰু পৰীক্ষাৰ উত্তৰ বহী, পৰীক্ষার্থী সকলে, 09:30 বজাৰ পৰা 13:00 বজালৈকে আপলােড কৰিব পাৰিব। 

 

OTB পৰীক্ষা অনুস্থিত হোৱাৰ দিনা 

1. প্ৰতিজন ছাত্র-ছাত্রীয়ে পৰীক্ষাৰ দিনা পৰীক্ষাৰ ওরে চাইট ত নিজৰ নিজৰ তথ্যৰ যােগেদি লগ-ইন্ (login) কৰিব লাগিব। 
2. প্রতিজন পৰীক্ষার্থীয়ে প্রশ্নকাকতখন নিজৰ নিজৰ কম্পিউটাৰ বা স্মার্টফোনলৈ ডাউনলােড় কৰিব লাগিব 
3. প্রতিজন পৰীক্ষার্থীয়ে, পৰীক্ষাৰ উত্তৰ, নিজৰ হাতেৰে, বগী A4 (এফ'ৰ) আকৰৰ কাগজত লিখিব লাগিব (সবিশেষ জানিবলৈ এই পৃষ্ঠা চাক)। পৰীক্ষার্থী সকলে, আপলােড কৰিবলগীয়া উত্তৰ বহীৰ, সর্বোচ্চ। ফাইল ৰ আকাৰৰ (file size) প্রতিও মন দিয়া উচিত। 
4.  পৰীক্ষার্থী সকলে তেওঁলােকৰ উত্তৰ বহীৰ পৃষ্ঠাবােৰক স্কেন্ (scan) কৰি এটা মাত্র PDF (পর্টেবা ডকুমেন্ট ফমাট) ফাইললৈ পৰিবর্তিত কৰিব লাগিব (কেনকৈ কৰিব, তাৰ কাৰণে তলত চাওক)। 
5. পৰীক্ষাৰ অন্তত, তেওঁলােকে তৈয়াৰ কৰা PDF ফাইল। (টাক, পৰীক্ষাৰ ওৱেব চাইট ত আপলােড কৰিব লাগিব উত্তৰ বহী আপলােড় কৰাৰ সুবিধা, পৰীক্ষা আৰম্ভ হোৱাৰ আধাঘন্টাৰ পাছৰ পৰা পৰীক্ষা শেষহােৱাৰ এঘন্টাৰ পাছলৈকে উপলব্ধ হ'ব।
